A few weeks ago I collaborated with Molly for the first time. As per usual I relied on her to do her own hair, makeup, and wardrobe and I waited to see what she brought before I decided how I would approach the session, stylistically. She brought a several jackets and items with stripes or patterns so I decided to focus on shape and lines for the shoot. I created a range of patterns in Photoshop which I then projected onto her. All of these were lit with either just the projector or with the addition of one light (less is more, more or less). For one of the sets I decided to take a photo of her and project it onto her. I really like the surreal quality and will certainly explore this idea more in the future.
