In-Camera Multiple Exposures with Liquid and a Model

Here’s my latest exploration with combining images of fluids with in-camera multiple exposure portraits. The day before this session I shot a range of images of acrylic paint in water. The next day, when @ridgemolly arrived for this session, I set up the lights so that the images would have large areas of shadow. Then I would have her strike a pose, I’d select an image of paint from the memory card (which the Canon 5DIV overlays on the screen when shooting in Live View), and I took a picture. The reason why I especially love practical effects over photoshop (or AI) is that each image is a discovery. While I know for the most part what will happen when I bring several elements together, there’s always an element of chaos that produces a one-of-one unique quality that can’t be otherwise replicated.
