About:

Over the 14 years that Nick has been teaching workshops, he has been asked time and again how he sources models and how he builds his network. Geek Sessions is an effort to address both of these issues. Photographers will now have an ongoing space to talk shop and make art, thus expanding both their portfolio and their community.

Format:

Each session will have one model with four outfits and four different lighting scenarios. Because sessions are capped at five photographers, each shooter will have their own ten-minute slot to execute their vision. While a photographer is shooting, others are permitted to assist, ask questions, or relax and talk shop.

There is also a Slack channel for Geek Sessions so that Geeks can share their images, ask questions, etc.

Skill Level:

All skill levels are welcome! When it’s your turn to shoot, you can go as basic or complex as you like. When it’s not your turn, you can watch how other photographers operate, and ask questions about settings, etc.

Required Equipment:

Photographers should bring their camera, lenses, memory cards, and any other toys they may have (prisms, props, etc). Lights and modifiers will be provided.

Combining Sessions:

If you’re interested in attending both the AM and PM sessions, email studio@nickfancher.com to get the discounted day rate of $400.

Refund Policy:

The refund policy is as follows: greater than six weeks notice, a full refund will be issued. Less than six weeks notice, no refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy:

Sessions can be subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. In this scenario, full refunds will be given.
