In 2024 I started making lens filters out of epoxy resin. I wanted a way of permanently suspending the swirls of color that I’d been capturing when photographing ink in water. My friend suggested working with epoxy resin, and it quickly evolved into Fuzzed lens filters.
Each filter is made by hand— mine to be specific— and can be used several different ways. The first way is placing it over a camera lens, which immediately transforms the scene into an array of colorful bokeh. It can also be projected onto a subject or background using a projection attachment, such as a Nanlite PJ-FMM.
